As I move creep closer to my wedding date I feel like canceling the whole thing. I can't believe how pushy and opinionated people are in your life when you DON'T even ask them. I NEVER did this to my friends...I just smiled along and made believe everything was fine. I'm getting criticism related to my Halloween theme, the fact that people have to stay 2 nights in Cape May, where and what I've registered for. Who are these people kidding??? Okay, I'm done with my rant. Sorry but thinking someone else had to have this happen.

I feel the same way, except I feel like I am having more fights with my fiance. He is actually really into the wedding and what is going on and he has a lot to say about what is going on. His thoughts are that everything is my wedding and last night we recieved our first wedding gift and he was very mad and made me get rid of our registry he feels that we do not need anything else for a house that we have been living in for 3 years, which is true but now we are going to get things that we have absolutly no desire for. We only wanted money, but how do you just ask for that. Also my weekend is a 3 night minimum, that sucks even more. Don't get me wrond there are really awesome days, just some horrible days also. Just letting you know that there are others out there that are having problems also. We all have our problems some have different ones with different people. Just think positive, by the way when is your wedding?

My wedding is Sunday, October 26th of this year. We're having it at the Hotel Alcott. My fiance is also very involved and he does not like the whole registry thing. So, we registered at Crate and Barrel only for things we really need (coffeemaker, dishware and a spoon or two) and then we are giving our guests the option to donate to a charity that means something to us as another option. I, too, believe that a couple in their 40s (which is what we are) do having almost everything we need so that's our way of handling it. We got a present the other day that was awful and while he understand the registry prefers a charity approach. Did you find any one night hotels? Your wedding is Labor Day, yes? Where is it?

Our wedding is August 30th of this year and we are getting married at The Grand Hotel. Another reason why we are not having a registry is because we are military and it is just extra for us to have to move when we transfer next June. There is only 1 place that has a 2 night minimum, but not any 1 nights. The grand said that they will allow a 1 night minimum if there is any avaliablity, but they will not know until 2 weeks before, who really wants to wait that close to the wedding? Not me if I was in their shoes.

Call this person: Todd at the Eldridge House. He only had 3 rooms at his place but he also knows of a nice cottage that rents with 3 rooms and they do one nighters.

I'm unsure of availability at his place for Labor Day but it's worth a shot. Even a 2 night minimum would be better than three.

Good luck.

Did you end up finding anymore one night stay places? I'm pretty desperate to find another?

Thanks!

I did not find anymore one night stays but I did find a few two night. Like the Blue Fin, The Hyland house, The buckingham, the jetty motel, the palace motel, marquette de lafayette. I would try those places out.
