What time of day, and type of venue are you guys considering? Some of the photographers are good in the studio, and some are better photojournalists.

For my DJ I used All the Right Grooves at http://www.therightgrooves.com/. They are very popular, super affordable, and Jill was really good.

We used Corey Cagle of Henderson NC, she was great to work with, she was unobtrusive during the ceremony and her pictures were not "cookie cutter" shots... not sure what your budget is, so I would leave it up to you to talk to her about pricing....

We did not have a DJ so I can't help you with that.....

I just got married this past June, and the Photographer that I used was Whitney Photography <www>. They offer no time limits with their prices, so they start out at about $2500.00, but I was not able to find a photographer in the Charlotte area that offered what they did for a great price. As for a DJ, I used Split Second Sound <www>, they offer packages for almost any budget, and they were really fun to work with and make sure that you got what you paid for. Both of these vendors were really great, and I would recommend them for everyone.

We hired DJ Chuck from Daniels Entertainment Group, six hundred for 4 hours if i remember correctly. He gives you a list of what your particular requests so very little, if anything, is left out. ~$600
Rick Wynne from Phil Aull Studio was great. he too has a list of poses you want, people you must have a picture with, signals for if you don't want to pose with someone. if you want poses that aren't so traditional, make sure you ask him, otherwise you probably won't get him. check out Phil Aull Studio in Charlotte, or email him at imagesRW at Aol dot com.
also, if you're getting hair and makeup, check out "Creations Hair and Makeup" and also "The look Online" for onsite hair and makeup (so you're not stressing with getting to and from the salon). I did have to coordinate with both companies since it was a busy weekend; we had Molly from TLO do hair and makeup for me and one maid, and Joni from CH&M do hair for two maids who did their own makeup). Both ladies were incredibly fun and professional, and there was so much less stress hanging out in our hotel room than running around town on a Sunday morning getting hair and makeup done! hope this helps.

we just got married Septemeber 19th and we used Chris Goddard http://goddardphotographync.com/ he was amazing to work with and really affordable. the DJ we used was split seconds sound they actualy match you with a DJ that would best suit your style. They are professional and affordable. We spent a little more on a DJ than we would of liked but it was worth every penny. Good Luck!
