For the Boston Symphony Orchestra's 2008-09 season, BSO Music Director James Levine will lead the orchestra in some of the most thrilling and inspiring works of the orchestral repertoire, offering audiences an extraordinary spectrum of some of the cornerstone works of the classical music repertoire while also highlighting some of the most important and influential composers of our time. Among the special highlights of the season will be performances led by Maestro Levine of Beethoven's Seventh Symphony, Boulez's Notations I-IV, Brahms' A German Requiem, Mahler's Symphony No. 6, Messiaen's Et exspecto resurrectionem mortuorum, twelve Mozart symphonies, Stravinsky's The Rite of Spring, Tchaikovsky's Symphony No. 6, Path
