getting married in irish college rome

Hi we are getting married in the irish college in rome in june 2009 just wondering if anyone else is getting married there or have already been married there? looking for ideas for wedding venues.

I'm getting married in Rome next week, and did a lot of research on venues - what're you looking for, reception halls? For how many people?

looking for somewhere to have a meal with family members after wedding. There will be about 20 of us.

Riva destra is a gorgeous place with delicious food, but it is somewhat off the beaten path and not particularly traditionally Italian.

The chef (English), Allan, at Cantina del Vecchio has made me a great menu for our rehearsal dinner. http://www.cantinadelvecchio.it/default.asp?lang=en

Casina Valadier has very nice private rooms with gorgeous views for your size group. http://www.cantinadelvecchio.it/default.asp?lang=en at the top of the Spanish Steps

Hotel Gladiatori is right near the College, and has a nice terrace - wasn't big enough for us, but I'd have considered it otherwise - great view! http://www.hotelgladiatori.it/it/roof_garden

http://www.hotelcapodafrica.com/capoenglish.html also has terrace, is very close to College and does catering for private events.

Ditto hotel Forum, just not quite as close to the College as Gladiatori http://www.hotelforum.com/

i am just back from rome i was getting married in irish college but got in touch with a priest from ireland how lives in rome and has a beautiful church and is cheaper than irish college my email is raygreen2609@hotmail.co.uk

the priest layed on a restaurant and the food was amazing to say the least as the food in the middle of rome is shockingly bad and very very very over priced the food was 55 euro a head and it was all the wine you could drink for free and it was a five course meal and even layed on a wedding cake amazing my email is raygreen2609@hotmail.co.uk
