Greetings all,
I live in California and am attempting to plan a wedding somewhere along the Georgia coast, since family lives in Atlanta and I want a "destination/vacation wedding."
I'm leaning heavily toward King and Prince from the pictures but have never visited the resort.
Can anyone fill me in on and any of the following:
REGARDING HAVING A WEDDING AT THE RESORT
My fiance and I are leaning toward May 2010; Ceremony in the lawn or solarium; Reception in Retreat Room.
1. Anyone have experience with these locations? If so, how was it?
2. How was the food/which would you recommend? [we're leaning toward day buffet]
3. How was dealing with the staff?
4. Is a wedding coordinator necessary?
REGARDING STAYING AT THE RESORT
I've read conflicting hotel reviews and need some insight:
1. Is it as clean and up-to-date as the pictures suggest?
2. If you've stayed in the Hampton, Tabby, or Wynn houses, was it elegant, clean, etc.?
3. Some reviews say that the standard rooms in one or more of the buildings are old and rundown. Can anyone verify?
4. I really want a place where my family and closest friends can relax and vacation together. Would you recommend this resort?
5. Was the hotel staff friendly?
