Looking to Wed in Siesta Key in Feb, Mar or April of 2014

I've been searching a lot of different venues and I am finding that price per person is an average of $150 which is crazy. Do you know of places that are nice and close or on the beach that are less expensive? Also where do you recommend I have my guests stay? Where is a nice place for a beach wedding and who would I use for set up? I live in Illinois and I'm trying to plan this remotely.
Contact Tammie at Siesta Key Events LLC. She is wonderful, knows all the venues, etc and very reasonably priced. We ended up saving more by hiring a planner than doing it ourselves - and we definitely didn't spend 150 pp. tell Tammie Kim & Mark gave you her contact info.
I am from Illinois and I got married in Siesta Key. I am so excited for you. How many guests are you having? How formal of a wedding do you want to have? I got married at Palm Bay Club and the guests stayed there. I then had the party at Boatyard Waterfront Bar & Grill - it is more laid back and definitely less expensive - We had our own banquet room and you can decorate it however you want. I highly recommend it. The only catch is how many people are going to attend the wedding. Good luck.
I would love to help you with your wedding on Siesta Key! We specialize in beach weddings and receptions on Siesta Key and is nowhere close to the price you have been quoted. Feel free to email me directly or through my website:
I loved it at boatyard...it was nice yet laid back. We stayed at a condo at the palm bay club...it was really close to where we got married. I loved that too. I also highly recommend the person who married us ... Her name is georgeann butler
I am also going to get married in Florida in March of 2014 and am also from Illinois. I booked the wedding with Sarasotaweddingideas.com. Garry has been very helpful with the wedding planning. I am still having a hard time finding a place for the reception. I want something not too fancy or expensive, but not dumpy either???
