Hi, I am going to Cartagena in a few weeks and have been in contact with Caribe Cordial. I wanted to be shown around to various venues while there. Caribe is asking me to sign a contract beforehand. I am not feeling quite comfortable with this and would have preferred to meet them prior to signing anything, Anybody been through this & have any helpful feedback?
I've looked at Caribe Cordial as well, though I've only done it through email so I'm not familiar with their procedure... But personally I wouldn't want to sign anything until after meeting them and deciding to use their services. Maybe there are some others who have used them who can better advise? I just wanted to let you know it would make me leary as well. Good luck!
Hi Steff. Caribe Cordial was our wedding planner and we signed a contract before visiting Cartagena to choose a venue. The reason is they have to do a lot of preparation and work before you visit Cartagena to choose your venue and other vendors and all that is part of the service they offer. We had a great experience with them and had no problem signing the contract beforehand. Hope you find a nice place for you wedding and a relaxing trip! Angelica Z
I just wanted to add that we had contact with them only through email and skype conversations for months prior to meet them in person in Cartagena (our wedding was in Sept, 2012 and we visit Cartagena only once in Jan, 2012). We signed the contract in July 2011 and they did a wonderful job including the time we didn't meet in person.
I believe all wedding planners do the same. You have to signed a contract before you meet them. If you feel uncomfortable just go to Cartagena and schedule an appointment once you are there. If you have time you can search vendors through internet in this way you will have an idea when you meet the wedding planner. Most wedding planners are connected to certain vendors but you are the one who choose that is why is important to do a previous search. Good Luck! Sandra
