Call Seamus (Irish man married to a Spanish woman) from Catalan Weddings. His wife is from Barcelona and they run a wedding planning service for weddings in and around Barcelona. We are using them for our wedding this October and we just went over last weekend for a location recci where they took us around visiting venues to decide what the best option is. We have found a great place and they've been so helpful. They will definitely help you initially with recommendations of places based on your budget and what you're looking for and they don't ask for money straight away. Oh thanks so much for coming back to me. I really apprecaite your time and help with this.

We want a really small do, maybe 30-35 people. We have absolutly no idea what the budget is because we have no idea what things cost!! We could really do with just some ball park figures of what costs what really. We need something to be central because it is not practical to be going out of the centre for some of the party. We would really like something thats intimate with interesting city views.

We really don't know what we want because we don't know whats available (if that makes sense) and so we are just wanting a bit of an idea as to what may be possbile.

Its so stressful and its difficult to find someone who can help. We will need to use a planner at some stage, but right now, we think it would be a waste of everyones time until we know exactly what we want.

I'll write more later but have a look at Can Cortada - a lovely restaurant venue in Barcelona city - it's a lovely place we looked at last weekend. The owner is lovely and the downstairs basement part is beautiful and intimate. There may be other nice spaces for smaller parties in there as well but we have a large number so you'll have more options. Have a look at the link below - it has photos.
