Hi all!
I will be wedding in San Diego but coming from out of state. I cannot seem to find online a beach I like from seeing pictures... We want to stand in sand, hear the crashing of waves, but have more then 25 guests so will need a city parks permit and chairs...
No more then 100 guests (still waiting on RSVP's)
Lately I've been looking at piers... We LOVE Ocean Beach but it is kinda dingy.
Any location ideas? I think I've looked at everyones profile trying to find the ceramony site; ugh!
Also if you know of a company/person that can do chair and arch set up and provide them? I came across this Elope San Diego where you get your wedding conductor and they set up for a wedding but for only up to that 25 person limit.

Thanks!! It is so hard being out of state ;)

I recommend looking at this site: www.bridalinsider.com. It has a lot of suggestions and a great discussion area that answers lot of questions- and you can see other people's stories, examples, and lessons learned when they were planning their weddings. I used it constantly when I was getting married!
In the meantime, I would suggest Shelter Island as an option- or Pacific Beach, or the Embarcadaro- downtown. Also, Coronado is beautiful!!
Good luck!

I would suggest the Del Mar Powerhouse. Yes, technically it is not San Diego but it is only 20 minutes up the coast. It has everything you are looking for. Beautiful beach with crashing waves and a newly refurbished site for the reception. You would need a caterer. Of the selections in the above recommendations, Coronado is beautiful, Pacific Beach and the Embarcadaro I would be cautious with. Shelter Island does have one beach that would work. The waves don't crash there though because it is on the harborside. GL

Actually, there's a great park right across the bay in Coronado where you have a wonderful view of the city skyline called "Centennial Park". I've shot several weddings there and it's always a great location with a wonderful backdrop. There beaches on both sides of the park... but the park itself has grass right to the water edge... Google maps shows a good picture of it, or if you like, the first picture of my "Photo Montage" on my home page shows an image taken there with the city in the background. www.AboutTheDay.com *Anyway, Hope that helps!?
