Late January 2014 Wedding - too cold for out doors?

Creating a destination wedding from the east coast and January is the only time all the family can get together. Would love to have an out door (maybe even beach) wedding, but afraid of cold weather. any suggestions?
I also need a great party location for a Friday night reception.

Hi, January is still pretty cold out here specially right by the water. BUT venues are much affordable during the winter months.
You can check out the la jolla bridge club which is where I had my wedding or the Del Mar power house community center.
As for restaurants, I highly suggest the Bali Hai. They also hold weddings there (I coordinated one 2 yrs ago). Great views of DT SD on the water of the bay. Excellent food great staff!!! Hope that helps and good luck!

It can be hit or miss in late January. This year we saw temps in the 70s and in the high 50s, so you just never know. I second the LJ Bridge Club. I had my wedding there too. It has both outdoor (waterfront) options as well as indoor in case the weather doesn't cooperate.
