The town of Tofino itself only has about 2,000 year round residents, but they get over a million visitors a year. The area between Tofino and Ucluelet is truly spectacular any time of the year with long sandy beaches mixed with rugged coastlines. Spend your days simply walking the beaches looking for sand dollars, seals, starfish, and eagles, or rent a surfboard and try some surfing--wet suits are highly recommended. Your nights may also be spent on the beach watching the most amazing meteors streak across the night sky.
