I'm looking for a venue that doesn't have a 40-50 person minimum, as I'm only having close family and a few friends for our big day (Dec.17th 2012). We're looking at approximately 20-30 people and need the works. From decor to catering, DJ and bar. Anyone know any venues etc that would be good for a small wedding like this at an affordable price? Any help is much appreciated!

Hi,

I know a few great vendors including a small venue that caters for small events and a great DJ company. Feel free to drop me an e-mail if you would like more info.

Congratulations on your engagement.
Branpru, most boutique restaurants will accomodate smaller wedding parties and sometimes have banquet spaces within their restaurants. Have you looked into something like Brock House or Brix Restaurant? Depending on where you want to get married, there are some heritage houses in the lower mainland that accomodate that number of guests quite easily. Marriot Renaissance and Pinnacle both have some smaller rooms that might work for you. Also, there are a couple of harbour cruise ships that are appropriate for your size of wedding. Ex. Accent Cruises or The Wedding Yacht. If you require any assistance with your wedding planning or design needs please feel free to contact us at anytime at 604 818-1849 or info@nicheeventstylists.com. All the best with your wedding planning.

I've actually looked into a few of those places, Maria and most have at least 40 person minimum OR are out of my price range... BUT I will look into the one's you listed that I haven't seen yet. Thanks a ton for that.

Stephen, thanks for the help. I was actually wanting a venue that provides everything in one place (decor, catering, Music etc) OR as much as I can get in one place as I can lol. I'm trying to have the least amount of hassle as I'm planning 99% of this alone... thanks for the input :)

You could try the Beach House in West Vancouver. I know they have a room upstairs with a fabulous view and a patio-deck that accommodates up to 30/ 35 people. I remember looking into it and thinking it'd be a great space for a small (25 person) wedding. They have really tasty food there, too! Hope this helps,
Aisling

Hi there, I can probably source out a venue for you, I helped my daughter and don't mind help out others, do you have a specific idea of what you would like theme wise, tradition or; nature; or super formal. If you give me an idea I can see what I can find, also being Decd 2012, will be tough as well. And do you have an idea on budget, what you would like to spend, and what you feel you can afford.
