Hi Sophie,

There are many beautiful locations in Vancouver to host a wedding, so it's difficult to pick just one. Do you have an idea in mind about how you want your wedding to look and feel? You could always try browsing through the venue directories at places such as http://www.urbanwedding.com/ (look under venues).

Personally, I venues that offer outdoor locations such as Grouse Mountain, Swan-e-set, Hycroft Manor, and others. However, weather in October may be an issue, so you want to choose a location that offers a beautiful outdoor option as well as an indoor one.

Start with browsing through the directory and shortlisting the venues that appeal to your tastes.

I can highly recommend Cecil Green Park at UBC. It will offer such a beautiful backdrop and breathtaking views for your unique wedding.

I recommend VanDusen Botanical Garden, where I got married. You can hold the ceremony there as well as the reception, or have the reception in the garden's restaurant, Shaunessy, which is what we did. We, and our guests, loved being in the garden and then having dinner in the restaurant. The food is great and so is the service.

our wedding was at the Vancouver Maritime Museum, where they have both an indoor and outdoor space, specifically for the ceremony, though I believe you could have it for the reception as well.

They were really great to deal with and it was a beautiful location, for the ceremony as well as the photos afterwards.
The downside is that if the ceremony is inside you won't be able to see the outside, but its still pretty...
their price was pretty good, but the limit on people is fairly strict due to size, so if you have a big wedding it may not work for you?
