We were very happy with Felix Mar (Cell: 604-616-6218; Studio: 1005/1010 - 8766 McKim Way, Richmond). He did the photography and the video, and the pictures turned out great and the video was very good quality. He finishes all his work when he promises, and he gave us a very reasonable rate.

We went with RF Productions and the photographs they took for us are amazing! Since we were paying for everything ourselves & for a two days, their photography prices were in our budget and exactly what we wanted. Certainly worth a shot.

They also offer videography and I would highly recommend RF Productions. I've always wanted a more cinematographic look/feel to capture our day and we found others who charge well over $10,000 and RF gave us what we wanted and more for much less. Desy & his entire team is exceptional, professional and wonderful to work with! They didn't cut corners eitehr. We had 2 photographers & 2 cinematographers & 1 mediagrapher who put together a same day edit for us to play at the reception (& for both days). They also offer one Blu-ray copy within the pkg, my husband wanted that & others were only offering DVD. Here's the link to our stuff on their blog...(i just searched my name)

Another photography team that I absolutely love, which may or may not be in your price range is www.sakuraphography.com Husband & wife team (Mark & Leslie) they shot my friend's wedding and weren't available for ours. Their work is also exceptional and worth checking out. They're not in Richmond, but my friend got married at the UBC Boathouse.

Both photographers we absolutely loved and were reasonably priced. They are certainly ones to check out. I am an artist myself so I'm extremely particular about who I chose and who I like.

Overall we had $10,000 budget for both photo & video for 2 full days of coverage (10-12hrs/day) and we spent about $7500. Other quotes cost over $10,000 & didn't give us everything we wanted). One day coverage would be much less. (And our eng shoot was $500 extra, but so worth it)
