Money as a gift

Is it rude to include on the invitation and/or wedding website a poem about how we want cash instead of gifts? My fiance and I have lived together for years and don't need anything so cash would be the most useful. Out of all the people I have asked, about half say it's rude and the other half say it's fine. Would you be offended by this?

¬¬¬The date has been set and we'd love you to come,
To our wedding in ________ , a long way for some,
All you must do, is decide what to wear,
Then polish your jewellery and comb up your hair.
Don't worry about gifts, don't buy us a yacht,
The things that we need, we've already got.
Our home is quite compact, we may have to move
Then our storage and space will surely improve.
Don't go out shopping or get yourself stressed,
Don't alter your plans for a pre wedding rest.
If you want to be generous, despite what we've said,
Then save all the hassle and do this instead.....
Don't know how to word this but will give it our best shot..
Contributions are most welcome, we'll go somewhere hot!
A honeymoon would be marvellous, to start off our life,
In our long winding journey, as new husband and wife!

To be honest...I think it's not etiquette to write that on the invite. I think it's perfectly fine to ask for money and contributions to honey moon just not on the invite. So if anything on the invite just ask them to check out your wedding website for registry information. Then on the wedding website indicate that gift cards are appreciated or contribution to your honey moon. Flight Centre offers a registry where people can contribute online or in person at a flight centre to your honeymoon as a gift. You should visit Flight Centre.
