Expert Advice from wedding guru, Sharon Naylor
Question:
I'm planning on having an outdoor wedding. For the invites we are listing the outdoor venue as the main venue. However we have a plan B which is the same place as the recption. How should we put this on the invite? What would the proper wording be?
Any info would be helpful!
Answer:
Great question! On the invitation, you would put the ceremony location, and then below that you would put 'Reception to follow at (location)...'
Beneath that, you would put 'In case of inclement weather, both the ceremony and reception will take place at (reception location.'
Then, to give you the best organization possible and eliminate guest confusion, add an insert card that reads: 'For more details, driving directions, hotel information and for wedding-day location updates in case of rain, please visit our personal wedding website at (URL)'
Good luck! Wishing you great weather on your big day!
