Hi Ladies, I've got some questions. First let me start with...I am 9weeks pregnant and we are getting married before the baby is born. I would like to do it in March 2013 after Holidays but before I get too big. I'm thinking 60 guest tops. NO big reception (since I can't drink)But would like to have a nice dinner for guests. Since this is a unplanned pregnancy we also haven't had time to save for a wedding. Any suggestions on a affordable nice place. nices dresses flowers etc. This is my first wedding. I don't even know where to start!! Please Help!

Check out www.bellerosemaison.com. We are located on the north border of The Woodlands. My La Maison building is great for small weddings. My prices are in a PDF file on the wedding page of the website about 1/2 way down on the left side. But call me at 936-321-8899 and I'll be happy to help you figure a way to get the most for your money so you have more left for baby expenses.

You might want to consider somewhere that is "all-inclusive," meaning you pay one price and they provide multiple things for you, like food, decorations, flowers, etc. That can be much less stressful. I recommend Heather's Glen in Conroe. They have a beautiful chapel, gardens with fountains, and a reception room, as well as an outdoor gazebo and dance floor if you want an outdoor ceremony. The prices are reasonable for the area, and you can literally pay and show up in your dress the day of the wedding, with no stress or anything else to do to prepare. Also, a friend of mine just booked with Le Jardin which does much of the same thing, I think. I haven't seen it yet, but it's located near 1960 and 45.

If you're looking for just a venue and you want to personalize it to your heart's content, you might want to consider contacting ChurchProject, a small church in The Woodlands near the mall on Timberloch. The building rental fee is less than $500, and while they do not provide a "planner" per se, several employees there are very knowledgable about affordable vendors in the area and are a great help.

Food tip: Zio's starts at $5 per person for pasta!

If you have any specific questions, I'd be happy to help if I can! I got married in The Woodlands (at Belle Rose Maison, actually) 3 years ago, and I have been involved in several weddings since then.
Happy Planning and Congrats!!

With Belle Rose Maison's exceptional preferred vendors, you have more opportunities to save money and customize your event to your tastes than you are likely to have with all inclusive venues, where you have to go with their catering, etc.

If you're wanting to do shotgun, I suggest the church above, and then since you're skipping a reception, it reduces your costs greatly. with 60 people, you can do the church, cake and soft drinks, and maybe even some finger stuff IE veggies, fruits, etc. Do it early(between 10am and 11:30) or late afternoon(2-4pm), b/c then guests aren't expecting a meal, and also, it allows them to balance the day and enjoy other things.

We're doing 60 people, at the Raven Lodge in huntsville($250 on a holiday, but only $150 non-holiday). includes kitchen, bar area, MASSIVE patio and a hall with fireplace, tables and chairs. We have a budget for $3k, including a newly found unplanned pregnancy(found out Jan 8!! lol), but we're still able to keep things we want.

The problem with major facilities, and "preferred vendors", is with 60 people, you'll lay down about $3k just in venue and food. doesn't include invites, photos(if you want them), flowers/deco(if not included), then your officiant, etc.

The Maison has good ceremony packages, that could be an ok option, but an officiant would still run anywhere from $150-$300. You have to lay down your budget, then go from there. Plus, while I get your rush, make sure you really want to just do something simple. Sometimes, you can do something fancy, DIY style, for MUCH less, than a facility, and you'll get to have a dinner with family/friends as well! Good luck in what you decide! Congrats on your pregnancy! I think we're right behind you!
