The Faust Hotel is a lovely, historical place to get married. I don't know what your budget it, but it is very reasonable. My fiance' and I are getting married at the Castle Avalon, which is kind of expensive, but is so beautiful, that we decided to marry there and make cuts elsewhere in our wedding that won't affect the overall effect of the event. I would also try looking into your church or other churches in the area. Most have nice reception areas that you can definitely dress up with the rigt flowers and lighting.
you didn't specify a budget or how large your reception will be, but try the seekatz opera house downtown, the mckenna events center on san antonio street, dry comal creek winery, the gruene river grill, or fischer store out in fischer. my own reception will be at the Landmark clubhouse (the old, renovated LCRA building).
