I am trying to plan a Southern Theme wedding and would love to have the ceremony & reception at a Plantation Home. However, these are mainly found down at the coast. Does anyone have any recommendations for any in the Upstate?

Have you looked into the Ryan Nicholas Inn, in Simpsonville?

There are several. You can try woodburn plantation, or ashtebula. Both are in the anderson pendleton area. Also, if you need a minister, feel free to give me a call. Call or visit my website Thanks Rev. Jason

I know the Gassaway Mansion is popular in the Greenville area.

All of the suggestions here are good. The Marshall Orr Historic Home in Anderson is beautiful & budget friendly. With rental you get the entire house & grounds. It is beautiful. - Also, take look at Kilgore-Lewis house and Beatty Plantation in Downtown Greenville. More venue recommendations here:

Thank you all of you for your suggestions! I will take a look at them! Does anyone know anything about Creekside Plantation? I am in love with the house and the grounds and it's close to home but the number for them has been disconnected!

Walnut Grove might be a good option. I've never been there, but it looks pretty and I know it's very historical.
