Hey y'all planning my wedding and we want it on the beach, of course, but we want the reception on the beach also. My question is do i need permits? We want chairs, tables, dance floor, lites, music, ect. If i need them cost? And where do i go to get them at? Thanks!

We had our ceremony on the beach in Martin county (Santa Lucia Beach). The county told us we did not need permits. We roped off an area in the morning and hired a company to deliver and take down chairs. You might want to call the county and check about the reception seat up though, you may need permits since you will have more elaborate set up.

In Brevard County you do not need permits to have a beach wedding, but you do not have a wide area to set up dance floor, tables and chairs. You could look further north near Daytona or West Coast where the shore is wider. Also, make sure you check out the high tide charts to see when you need to have everything off the beach.
