I have a few guests flying into Cartagena from the US on the day of my wedding. I'd like them to make it to my ceremony, but their arrival time is very close to when I want to have it. I want to account for the time between landing and leaving the airport when I set my ceremony time. How has everyone's experience with customs been? How long does it usually take to get through?

Thank you!

Dear Rachael, after landing getting the luggage supposing that everything goes ok, it will take 20 minutes for them to reach the hotel. However, ladies like to get their hair and makeup done, some men's clothing might need extra ironing... So I would recommend not doing it so close, especially if the guests are very important in the ceremony. However if you want write to me at I can recommend hair stylist that can wait for the guests in the hotel and with your help the logistics might be easier ;)

Customs was pretty quick, but my luggage didn't make it and we were at the airport for a couple of hours trying to find it and figuring out what to do. Luckily it was delivered to the hotel next morning. With that being said, I would not recommend you to have the ceremony the same day of your guests arriving. There are always unforeseen issues..

Thank you everyone for your quick responses! I only have 3 guests flying in on my wedding day and they are not part of the wedding party, so they do not need to do much to prepare for the ceremony. It sounds like they will have enough time to get through customs and come to my ceremony. I am very relieved!
